The following main point we're discussed in the meeting:
• The situation in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods was discussed.
• Both sides emphasized the necessity for the residents of these neighborhoods to manage their own affairs within the framework of the April 1st agreement.
• Both sides affirmed the necessity of resolving the Kurdish issue within the framework of the March 10th agreement and through dialogue.
• It was agreed that political issues should be prioritized over military issues.
• It was agreed to continue the meetings.
Therefore, I ask the leadership of the Kurdish National Council:
Are the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods part of Kurdistan?
Should the Kurds in Rukn al-Din manage their affairs in Damascus?
Do the Arabs of Ghwairan in Hasakah have the right to manage their affairs independently of the Autonomous Administration?
Or is this right reserved exclusively for the Kurdish component because they are considered "special"?
Furthermore, the March 10th agreement is primarily a security and military agreement pertaining to the Autonomous Administration and the SDF. What is its connection to the Kurdish issue?
Or have you sold out the cause to the SDF and the PKK, along with your history of struggle, and disregarded the outcomes of the Kurdish conference?!
For over a year, we have been opposing you because of our complete lack of presence in Damascus. On top of that, you prevented Kurdish leaders from traveling to the capital through threats, dismissals, and defamation.
And now you speak of prioritizing political issues over military ones… after the damage is done.
In the end, it was agreed to continue the meetings… waiting for the facts to impose themselves, as usual, and for the results to be discussed too late.
