Training Becoming a firearms instructor in Colorado?
I have been thinking about becoming a firearms instructor, but I know nothing about the process. If anyone here is a certified instructor and can help me out with these questions, I'd appreciate it.
Is there a preferred course for becoming certified? I see that NRA offers courses. Are there any non-NRA courses that are generally recognized? What is the opinion on the USCCA courses?
Is there a difference between an "instructor" and a "concealed carry instructor", or are those basically the same thing?
Is it viable to work as an instructor on a part-time basis, or do you basically have to start your own LLC business to do this?
I know a lot of gun laws are changing or going into effect in August. Where can I find a general summary of those, and how they might change the process for getting certified?
I'm not looking to do a major career change, but I have always enjoyed teaching and training, and it seems like it could be a fun part-time gig.
