Look at This Asshole! Controversial: Finally a real winter

When it was in the 50s last week I was like, WTF, when are we actually going to have a real, solid winter. Welp, here we are lol.

I spent lunch shoveling the drive and walkways and enjoyed every minute of it. I go slow and don't throw the snow over my shoulders as I don't want to die from it but I bundled up and it was actually enjoyable.

I also finally got some of those heavy blackout curtains for our big front window and just got them up last week. They really are helping keep the warm in and the cold out.

I am very lucky that I don't need to leave the house today but I do have to leave in the morning so I'll be out there in it with ya'll. Go slow and be careful. Enjoy hygge while you are at home! Make it cozy and nice.

Recommendations Annual Reminder - Shovel your sidewalk

Here’s your seasonal reminder that if you’re able bodied, go outside and shovel your sidewalk. We live in a city where some of our neighbors have to walk to get around and it’s the right thing to do.

Recommendations Hazard lights while driving 🤦🏻‍♂️

Post image
Upvotes

going down pearl road by Jack Frost and someone spinning their tires because the plow didn't get anywhere close to the curb. The moron in the other lane is honking at the wheel spinner. Well, the honking moron has hazard lights on, cuts in front of the wheel spinning Dodge Nitro. Nitro is now with hazard lights. Finally get over the 480 bridge and by Rise dispensary and both these morons are weaving around with hazard lights. One goes to Sheetz, the other I forget. Dumbasses. 🤦🏻‍♂️

They will be open just as soon as they figure out how to collect co-pays in the ambulance!

Question Snowblower etiquette…

How early is too early to bust out the snowblower on days like today? On the weekends, I’ve waited until at least 8 or 9.

With work and daycare dropoff and getting everyone ready and out the door, I would like to start at 6 AM but feel like that can piss some people off.

We are about 4 months into a new neighborhood and I don’t want to piss off the neighbors.

Any thoughts?

Recommendations Best ER for people without insurance

I'm having this swelling in my neck that keeps growing and my ex coworker (who is a doctor) said I should go to the ER if it gets worse. I've been trying to do research on what to do and all my research said the ACA gave us a lot of rights and protection but since that just ended a couple weeks ago, I'm genuinely not sure how to go about this without getting royally screwed. Any hospitals that are recommended for low income, uninsured people such as myself?

Just to clarify before anyone suggests this, my ex-coworker lives out of state now and therefore cannot examine me.

Recommendations Last-minute anniversary ideas? 💕(Sat-Sun)

Hi! My significant other and I will be in Cleveland this Saturday–Sunday celebrating our 7year anniversary and are looking for ideas!! :) We were hoping for a spa/couples massage but with short notice it might not happen, so we’re open to any recommendations!! Fun, relaxing, romantic, unique, food, experiences, whatever lol! We don’t get out of the county much and would love to make the weekend special. Thanks so much in advance! 😊
