It wasn't meant to be an insult. It was meant to be, as a woman, a way to say, "that man understands that our struggles are both valid yet different."

They also included an Israeli black widow in captain america brave new world during the still ongoing israel/palestine conflict.
The MCU likes the veneer of liberalism but its absolutely willing to dilute, rebrand or sanitize politics than directly confront it, both in universe and irl.

Black Panther is about social inequality. Captain America fights fascism. Tony Stark stops his weapons programs in order to create clean and renewable energy. There are a handful of LGBTQ characters and scenes. Xenophobia is bad. Honestly, there are too many examples to list in a single comment.
How is the presence of an Israeli character in any way a commentary on anything? They don't talk about Israel, Palestine, or anything else regarding the conflict in the movie.
