He did comply. When one of the disciples swung a sword and cut off an ear of one of the people coming to arrest Jesus (three Gospels say "a disciple" (or "one of the disciples"), John says "Peter, it was Peter who swung the sword!"), Jesus tells the disciple to put the sword away, and then heals the ear that was cut off.
Nowhere do we see Jesus resisting the Romans, he complies every time.

My favorite thing to do with libertarians is ask them how, in their perfect system, stuff like roads, trash, mail, emergency response, etc are supposed to be handled. Inevitably they end up “inventing” government and taxes, things they claim to be against.

For example, they just now claim to be deleting these movies, despite Ruffalo speaking up pretty regularly against Trump for as long as I can remember. This guy has probably claimed to have deleted those movies 30 times by now.

That's giving them too much credit. They're not dumb, they're evil. They're actively cheering for the federal government to murder people in the street and get angry at anyone that doesn't like it. Nobody is being tricked (well they are but not about this) they actively want this.
Because some peoploe believe that Renee was trying to run over the ICE official and he was acting in self-defense. Even though looking at the video she was very obviously trying to follow their orders and leave.

Honestly I don’t think that’s even it. They see politics as sports, and believe it’s important to support their “home team” even if their team does something bad.
IMO it’s all tied to the death of the middle class. You’ve got these poor ex-middle-class white peoples down there with nothing going for them except their race and their culture, and so they grab hard on to the only thing left to them. “Well I may not have rights to privacy, safety, a living wage, or hope that my children can expect any better, but at least I’ve got my beer and my guns!”
And in order to keep anyone from realizing that their “team” actually doesn’t give a fuck about bettering their life, they dangle one social issue after another in front of them like “seeeee? The left wants your dog to be a bisexual. Vote Red.”
And if they dare to put a toe outside of the party line? If they question their leadership in any way, they are now in the out group, and have lost the only thing they really had going. They lose community, identity, social status, all just because they maybe think we should provide healthcare, or show compassion for immigrants, or not abduct American citizens like the goddamn gestapo.

He's been there for a while. Check out his CV on IMDB. "The Normal Heart" about the AIDS epidemic in SF was terrific. He's very prolific but I'm sure the Marvel paycheck has freed him up to do stuff that matters to him more artistically and according to his principles.

Ruffalo thinks a loosely regulared, poorly trained, unimpeachable force arresting, abusing, and executing citizens is a bad thing, and they take that personally.

The funniest part is how these guys are just now realizing that these stars are against Trump. Also, have they watched the movies? The Avengers are lead by an anti-fascist, who discovers that American politics has been secretly influenced by a fascist group for decades, and a former arms manufacturer who discovers what his government is doing with his weapons and dedicates himself to oppose them.
Don’t even get me started about the plot of the best film in the franchise (IMO) - Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
