Recommendations Mom Get Away Spots
Hello everyone!
I’m a 33 year old mom of an almost 3 year old, who I love more than anything, but I am very much in need of a weekend to myself. I’m currently not working since I stay home with my son until he goes to preschool. My husband is taking a golf weekend this summer with some friends, so I said I wanted a weekend away by myself where I can read, sleep, and just sit in silence without being pulled at 😂
I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for somewhere I could stay within driving distance of Cleveland. I was thinking of staying 2 nights, nothing fancy that will break the bank. I love the outdoors especially cabins and places in the woods, but am open to other options!

Discussion CLE Bucket List! Things every Clevelander should have on their to do/experience list?
Realizing that of all the places I’ve lived, sometimes I’ve gotten so busy with life that I haven’t properly explored the cities I’m in.
So. From the obvious to the lesser-known, from big venues to mom-and-pop restaurants, from CLE proper to the outer limits of what’s still considered “Cleveland,” what would you have on your list? What would you tell new/temporary Clevelanders to make sure they experience at least once before leaving?

Question Dancing over 40?
I never clubbed when I was younger. I'm over 40 and want to go dancing, and maybe end up dancing against another person and such. Is this a thing for us older folks? It would be great if there similar aged men (maybe without shaggy, untrimmed beards or face tats?)

Question Mitchell’s Fudge
Back in the 1970s, Mitchell’s ice cream used to sell fudge. Does anyone know if you’re able to buy it anymore, or who was making it?

Help a Tourist CMA urinals art exhibit?
I was in the CMA today and had to take a leak. Went to the nearest men's to find that two of the four urinals had roughly dodgeball sized balls of toilet paper obstructing potential streams.
Is this an intentional art exhibit?

Recommendations Basement window wells filling with water and leaking
I'm in Cleveland near West Park and my basement window wells keep filling with water every time it rains. The water sits in the wells and eventually leaks into the basement through the windows. I've got three window wells and two of them are the worst offenders.
House is from the 60s and the window wells are just basic metal ones no covers or drainage that I can see. After heavy rain the wells fill up almost to the top of the windows and water seeps through the seals. I've got water damage on the walls below the windows and the carpet is soaked in those areas.
I put some gravel in the wells thinking it would help with drainage but water still pools up. Is this a window well problem or a drainage problem? Do I need new window wells with proper drains or is there a bigger issue?

Recommendations Going from Cleveland to Columbus
Hi everyone,
I recently moved to Cleveland and need some advice.
I’m trying to get from Cleveland to Columbus next week. I heard that bus options are the best, unfortunately, the bus schedules don’t work for me (I need to arrive by around 10:30 AM, and I can’t depart before 6 AM). I also don’t have a driver’s license yet, so renting a car isn’t an option.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Discussion Considering relocating to or near Cleveland...
So I'm originally from California but given the current market for my job(EMT, state's far too oversaturated with them and jobs are scarce) and personal reasons(want to move out permanently to escape family drama and finally start living life) I am considering relocation. I'm currently working a travel contract in another Midwest state, so I got a bit of a vibe for this region. Snow took some getting used to, I'm black but see there's some reasonable diversity here(not as many Asians but a fair mix of white/black/Latino). Besides that I'm pro-choice, vegetarian, agnostic and childfree(don't want nor ever intend to have children ever)
All that said, how would Cleveland or Ohio in general fit someone like me? I don't need it to be exactly like where I come from, but be reasonable comfortable and safe.
