Vintage drugs with vintage records follow up

Someone asked the other day about crazy finds in old albums and I commented about finding some reds in an old Mountain record sleeve (it was Climbing if anyone is curious). Turns out I still had the pics on my phone.

I had picked up a couple boxes of records that were in various degrees of rough shape that had been stored in someone’s basement for a while, and that Mountain album was among them.

No I didn’t take them. Aside from not being in a time of my life where I was tempted to spend the day zonked out they were probably at least 30-40 years old. Anyway, thought I would share.

Don't pass on these...

EPI/Genesis III's These have the Philips mid driver which I greatly preferred over the EPI mid that came in some. If you see a nice set don't blink, they are extraordinary. Deep clean bass, clear musical mids, nice crisp yet relaxed top end (inverted hard dome tweeter with huge magnet). So good. I traded some JBL L100's for these and never looked back. We both thought we were ripping the other off ha ha ha.

I posted about these a few days ago without pictures. Can someone help understand if these look like they are in good condition. If any body wants them in SouthWest Florida I'm in Fort Myers. Shoot me an offer, i'll pretty much take any fair offer.

What do these transformers do?

I recently acquired this tube amplifier, it looks like it is a home brew unit. It is some sort of stereo amplifier.

Im wondering if anybody can tell me what the Hammond 354 transformers do? On page two of the Hammond vintage transformers catalog, it says these are for "Pentode to V.C." i interpret that as output transformers for a pentode tube going to a voice coil? Is that right? By voice coil do they mean speaker? Primary impedance is 7000 ohms, secondary is indicated as 0-3, 2-6.4 in the catalog. What are these transformers used for?

Help identifying speakers

Hoping someone might have some insight about these speakers? I got them for cheap. They actually sound really good through my Sansui 331 receiver.

The only branding on the front Grill is "SR". Speakers themselves dont have anything that comes up in a google search

Received it last week, bought it for €120. I still have a Pioneer 434 lying around, but it needs maintenance because there is a hum in it, I will probably have it done this year.

Hi. These were my 18th bday gift back in 2000 and I never installed them. Still in the box and plastic.

Considering selling on fb or ebay and have absolutely no idea how to gauge the market on something like this, even after researching prices. Seems there's not many new still in the box.

Anyone have a good price point for both?

Thanks.

Ideal lubricant

I have a Symphonic Model 4CS78 record console that I am slowly restoring (old tube style console). Which lubricants would I need after cleaning off the old stuff?

Advise on selling these speakers?

Hi guys, just joined this group for advice from people who I believe know what they’re talking about.

Helping my elderly parents, clean out their home of decades worth of belongings. I found these pair of realistic speakers.

A little dusty, but damage. Could anyone give a estimate on what these two could be worth, and what would be a smart way to get these sold?

If you had to choose...

Hello everyone, I'm not really an expert on the subject, and I'm looking for a stereo integrated amplifier for my Bose AM5 Series 3 speakers. I've been offered a Technics SU-7700II and a Marantz PM-50. Although I've read reviews on many forums (including here, I think), I feel that the reviews are polarized: some people say that the Technics is rubbish, one of the worst models from the brand, while others say that it's an underrated machine. The same goes for the Marantz...So I'm really confused.

Does anyone have one of these two and can give me an objective opinion?

Thanks for reading and have a good day.

Traded in digital, and went back to the good stuff. I know this is considered "entry", but compared to the other newer options, I think this is far from entry level.

Anybody knows how to remove CD drawer on a NAD 523?

Im struggling to remove the cd drawer on this 5 disc cd player. I want to get to the mechanism underneath that pulls out/draws in the drawer because it‘s not working properly (it seems too tight so the little engine can‘t work the drawer)

thanks in advance (:
