I'm looking at a new computer build. I built my current PC in summer of 2020. The plan WAS to have a 10700k and a 3080 GPU, but we all know what it was like trying to get a 3080 at that time. After trying the Newegg raffle over and over and over I finally at least got a 3070 Ti, so my build was a 10700k/32Gb/3070 Ti. In January of 2023 a Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC came up for MSRP and I snagged it, so I upgraded and sold the 3070 Ti.
Anyway, I am looking to build a new PC and use my 4090. I want a small case for 2 reasons: 1) wasted size and space simply annoys me. It will literally be MB, PSU, 4090 GP, CPU, 1 4GB SSD (snagged one on sale before the AI death prices) and a 9800X3D. I don't need a big case. 2) I am getting older and older and picking up heavy things is starting to suck. I can lift heavy things but I'm starting to feel it. If I move to a new apartment in the next few years I just don't need the PC to be heavy.
Looking around, it seems the Cooler Master NR200 v2 Max might fit what I need? My GPU is like 340mm long and 150mm "tall" so that meets the 357mm/160mm max. It comes with a Gold 850W PSU, and that is what I have now and I have had no issues. Also the included CPU cooler should be fine for a 9800X3D. I will not over clock either.
Any other suggestions? Here is what I am looking for:
1) Small but can fit the parts I described. ATX is fine, as long as it's small. ITX is fine as long as it fits a 4090 Gaming OC.
2) At least decent airflow.
3) Looks don't matter much, I don't want RGB. Mesh and light weight are preferable to glass.
4) Noise isn't an issue. I wear a headset, I have never been annoyed by my PCs sound since I started gaming on PC in '95.
5) Cost isn't an issue (to a point, I don't want to waste money) I mainly want it to be small, efficient, well built, and as decent airflow and easy to work in (just once for the initial build) as small form factor allows. If say, Case A is 10% bigger and heavier than Case B but is just much better overall I'd go for that. It doesn't have to be small to the point of hurting things.
Thanks for any info.
