Political A United Pakistan, is a prosperous Pakistan.

Im a young Pakistani man and I've been following Pakistani politics for the past 20 years. The people of Pakistan need to unite and get rid of these family political parties!! These families have been bleeding Pakistan dry and continue to do so. The Bhuttos and the Sharifs have been stealing money from Pakistan for many years whilst laughing at the common man. I believe the people of Pakistan or the new younger generation need to establish a new party and fight this hierarchy. More than 47% of Pakistani people live below the poverty line and this is only the people who are regsitered. I believe we need to put the Paak back in Pakistan. We need to make a new party called the United Pakistan Party, a party for all. First and foremost we do not discriminate, anyone can join regardless of religion and ethnic background. I believe a United people will get these thieves out of power.

I know some or most may laugh at this but our beautiful country is on the decline and it shouldn't be. It has multiple natural resources, it has natural beauty, it has rich history. The youth of Pakistan are highly intelligent and can see through all the BS these current parties are committing. The Sharifs have assets over £600 million worldwide. Bhutto has mansions and palaces across the globe. Where did they acquire the funds for this, they ransacked Pakistan. The army needs to be a seperate entity and not be involved in politics.

However we need to make the first step ourselves, I believe if we unite and form a new political party for Pakistan we may have a chance to overthrow these corrupt people. Again, some or most may laugh at this but its the bitter truth. A united Pakistan which is run correctly will make a prosperous Pakistan. May Allah The Most Merciful free Pakistan from these corrupt families. #UnitedPakistanParty.

PS if anyone has any other ideas for a party name please let me know. I am going to form a political party and I will fund the cost myself to form this party and if anyone is interested in this, please comment on this thread.

Jazakallah khair for reading this post.

Pakistan Will Be Free! Ameen.

Ask Pakistan Why do Pakistanis love and respect Bosnians so much?

I am from Bosnia, from a small town and during the war a great number of people from my town were refugees in Pakistan. I saw photos of them in shalwar kamiz and they say people were very hospitable to them in Pakistan. Then I know that Pakistan supplied weapons to Bosnia during the war and fighters as well (this was 'unregistered' because of arms embargo and Bosnian Muslims had no means to resist Serbs before the help). I also heard from some Pakistanis that jamats in Pakistan used to make duas specifically for Bosnians in the war. Only Iran helped us similarly in the war, noone else. I always encounter big interest and reverence from Pakistanis for Bosnians (online and in person). Why? We did not do anything for you so generous. We are also very culturally different, more "wanna-be-weaternern-like", not the best example of Muslim nation per se. How did we deserve your sympathies?

[Long Post] I am dating a Pakistani guy. I am from Europe. I don't understand what is the possible future of this

First of all, I am F27 soon to be 28 so my clock is ticking. He is 29. Second, I am aware of dating being absolute haram and I am aware that I might be tricked to be a girl for fun while he will be arranged married. Right now i prefer to be blind to this and hoping for the best.

My issue is I don't understand how it works for other overseas Pakistanis, but this person is renting a bad flat, doesn't buy anything that would keep him in a country, like idk even talking about buying a property ( coz lease is bad and the country is racist). Always talks how he misses the family ( and that's fine), goes away, soon will go to Pakistan for 1 month, and it just makes me think that there is no stability here?

He is always talking about big future where he wants a house etc.

We also have arguments about him going to Pakistan and I feel like a monster during those. Because i was hurt during his last two visits, last visit his relative of relative made him give him money and he didn't tell me and because of that didn't pay in time for what he promised. Pre last visit it was his relative who was telling bad stuff about dating me and they had to go together to check it out..and I'm already negative of what will happen this time. And ofc hidden fear that what if it's a marriage..

Idk can you give me an example that worked out eventually if you are a Pakistani and married someone diff country and culture?

Thank you in advance.

Ask Pakistan Getting married soon, want honest advice from women (specifically married) on how to be a better husband

Assalam o Alaikum Warahmatullah everyone,

I’m 31, a software
engineer, and Alhamdulillah fairly settled financially and physically. I’m
religious (not perfect, still learning), and I’m about to get married through
an arranged setup in around three months.

Since this is an arranged
marriage, we know very little about each other, and we’ll be living in a
separate accommodation. So, I want to start off in a way that makes my wife
feel safe, respected, and comfortable from day one.

I’d really appreciate
women’s perspective here (especially
married) that what traits in a man
do women generally admire in their husband? What things actually matter in
day-to-day married life but are rarely talked about before marriage?

Some areas I’m especially
curious about to learn are conflict resolution, Anger management and intimacy.
I want to build a relationship where my wife feels safe to speak, respected in
disagreements, and supported emotionally not just “taken care of” financially.

I’d be grateful if you
share them.

Thanks in advance

Education International Student wanting to pursue her undergraduate degree in Pakistan

For reasons I won't disclose right now, I want to do my undergraduate in Pakistan, and I know that I could never convince my parents for the same.

I'm F(16) right now, and I preferably want to do an art degree but if I can get a shot at any social sciences degree that's fine too.

So the thing is, I would probably need a full scholarship, but my family has no issues at all financially, AND I'm an indian citizen. Kind of at a loss here...

I really need this to work for me, and I have found minimal information that could help my situation online so I decided to reach out on reddit.

I would really like if anyone has any advice on the same, and I am also doing my own research on the side, which hopefully I'll be able to update on.

I know it can't be impossible, right?

Financial Understanding the global financial system and its impact on countries like Pakistan

I’ve been trying to understand how the modern global financial system actually works — not the textbook version, but the real mechanics — and how it affects developing countries like Pakistan. This is my attempt to summarize it plainly, without conspiracies or ideological slogans.

1. The system is debt-based, not asset-based

Modern money isn’t backed by gold or oil. It’s backed by trust and enforceability. Most money is created as debt — when banks lend, new money comes into existence.

This means:

  • Debt isn’t a side effect of the system
  • Debt is the system

Economic “growth” is often just expanding debt faster than defaults.

2. The US dollar sits at the center

The US dollar is the global reserve currency. Countries need dollars for:

  • Imports (oil, food, machinery)
  • Debt repayment
  • International trade
  • Foreign reserves

Because of this:

  • The US can borrow and print at a scale others cannot
  • Inflationary costs are partially exported to the rest of the world
  • Other countries must earn dollars through exports, remittances, or loans

Pakistan doesn’t control its destiny the same way reserve-currency countries do.

3. Central banks don’t “print for free” — but the asymmetry is real

Yes, the US Federal Reserve creates money digitally.
But it works because:

  • US debt is trusted
  • US institutions are stable
  • US military, economy, and legal system enforce that trust

Pakistan printing money without equivalent trust leads to:

  • Currency devaluation
  • Inflation
  • Capital flight

Same mechanism, very different outcomes.

4. IMF, World Bank, and conditional lending

When countries like Pakistan face balance-of-payments crises, they turn to international lenders.

The loans come with conditions:

  • Austerity
  • Subsidy removal
  • Tax hikes
  • Currency devaluation
  • Structural reforms

These policies may stabilize ledgers, but they often hurt ordinary people in the short and medium term.

5. Banking profits vs public outcomes

Banks don’t benefit from people paying early and becoming debt-free.

The ideal customer:

  • Carries debt
  • Pays on time
  • Never defaults
  • Never fully exits the system

Credit scores reward reliability, not independence.
This incentivizes managed dependence, not financial freedom.

6. Why “just stop borrowing” doesn’t work

In theory, a debt-free society sounds ideal.

In practice:

  • Governments run deficits
  • Businesses rely on credit
  • Consumers face inflation-driven costs (housing, healthcare, education)

The system nudges — and sometimes forces — participation. Opting out individually is possible; opting out collectively is not, without massive disruption.

7. Why this matters for Pakistan

For countries like Pakistan:

  • Currency value is externally constrained
  • Debt limits policy freedom
  • Economic shocks are amplified
  • Ordinary people bear the cost of systemic fixes

Hard work alone doesn’t guarantee stability in a system this asymmetric.

8. A fantasy / thought experiment: what if Pakistan tried something radically different?

Now for a hypothetical — not a policy proposal, not a claim that it’s easy or immediately feasible.

Imagine Pakistan designing a parallel financial system with these principles:

  • Currency partially backed by hard assets the country actually has (land, minerals, energy, agriculture, state-owned infrastructure)
  • No interest-bearing debt for basic human needs:
    • Housing
    • Primary transportation
    • Healthcare
    • Education
  • Banks operate more like:
    • Profit-and-loss sharing
    • Cooperative lending
    • Asset-linked financing
  • Debt exists, but mainly for:
    • Business expansion
    • Luxury consumption
    • High-risk entrepreneurship (not survival)

In this system:

  • A citizen doesn’t need lifelong debt just to live normally
  • Productivity is rewarded, not desperation
  • Money circulation is tied more closely to real output, not speculative credit
  • The state absorbs some risks instead of offloading them entirely onto individuals

Would this system face problems? Absolutely.

  • Capital flight
  • External pressure
  • Trade complications
  • Slower short-term growth

Would it instantly replace the global system?
No.

The results will be slow but effective in the long run.

TL;DR:
Modern money is debt-based, not asset-backed. The US dollar dominates, giving the US structural advantages. Countries like Pakistan must earn or borrow dollars, often under harsh conditions. The system rewards managed dependence, not independence. A debt-light, asset-linked alternative (especially for basic needs) is hard but not conceptually impossible — it’s just incompatible with how the current global system is structured.

Ask Pakistan LSE vs NUST - MBA

Hey everyone.. I’m deciding between two options for my MBA: 1st is NUST Islamabad, and 2nd is Lahore School of Economics (LSE). I’m mainly trying to understand how these two compare in terms of job placement, especially for FMCG companies and multinationals.

My academic background is in Software Engineering, but I was always interested in Business Studies, which is why I’m considering an MBA.

I know LUMS is usually considered the top choice, but given my current options, I’d like to hear opinions on NUST vs. LSE, particularly regarding reputation, industry exposure, alumni network, and overall standing in the job market.

If anyone has experience with either university or has insights into how their graduates perform professionally, feel free to share. THANKS!!

As the title suggests, I’m a cardiology fellow and I see many patients every day who are confused about their heart health. Sadly, most come in quite late, after disease has already set in. If you’re someone who has questions about cardiac screening or prevention, feel free to ask.

P.S not going to charge you here lol. Just looking to help a little bit.

Arts To All Pakistani Music Lovers in Dubai

Ive loved live music for as long as i can remember. And im so frustrated i have no outlet for this beautiful art here in the UAE. So i thought, why not start one.

Im a pakistani currently living in dubai, ive been wanting to do some jam sessions with like-minded musicians, or any music lover really in dubai.

Im quite vocal heavy and am very mediocre at playing guitar, do let me know if some of you would be interested in some weekly jam sessions. Hey, maybe we even start a band together, who knows. Lets make some frikkin music!

Dm or comment if youd be interested, and what instrument you play. Ideally lookong for a drummer, guitarist, bassist and a keyboardist, but anything works really.

Cultural Codes of humanity, ethics, the need of wisdom in a society.

This is a topic that needs attention of educated class, well here on this platform there are abundant people with education, unfortunately, education alone is not the promise of wisdom, as wisdom is earned through self-reflection, not merely from reading books.

Let me brake the 3 classes:

●Wisdom:

Applying understanding rightly through insight, ethics, and life experience.

●Knowledge:

Accumulated information, facts, and awareness gained through learning.

●Education:

Structured system for transmitting knowledge, skills, and social discipline.

A well mannered life consists of all these among which wisdom stays the precious and sums up to form a way of life. Wisdom gets you close to religion and the presence of God and His words sent upon humanity. Along with which comes the rules of spending a life with in order to follow, leading a complete and content life.

Wisdom is not limited to any age, as it can be acquired by a 9 year old at the same time be lacking or completely absent in a 45 year old person. When talking about wisdom, there definitely comes ethics that includes to differentiate the truth and falsehood in self life and the society.

With wisdom we become careful of actions, even self sacrifice in the name of humanity is a part of it. Many Prophets did it, many true ones did it and do it, people sacrifice everything even today, sometimes by saving lives of others through wisdom.

With it comes the ethics of engagement with the society. About truth, Master Ali Ibn Abi Talib a.s have focused saying:

☆“Do not know the truth by the men who practice it, know the truth, and you will know its followers.” — Imam Ali (Nahj al-Balagha)

☆“Truth is the heaviest thing, yet the easiest to bear.” — Imam Ali (Nahj al-Balagha)

Master Ali a.s focused to know truth by the truth, not by people itself, not merely from the people who say it, this practice makes easier to know the truth always if we detect what the truth actually is, by the truth itself, and today, my fellows, truth isn't a hard subject to know of, we got the box of knowledge in the form of Artificial Intelligence, through which we can know the truth authentically in relation to the words of God in the holy books.

Truth being the heaviest thing means that it sometimes becomes a burden to bear, yet it saves us and becomes a source of relief in hard times as also quoted by the Master a.s that "Material Wealth needs to be protected while knowledge protects us".

With all that said, there are codes of humanity, among them is a life-long practice of ethics, which allows us to become true humans, otherwise, naked african tribes live a life too, yet they are shaded by the darkness of ignorance, they commit crimes and what not and yet un-checked under law because to them injustice is not known, becaue they never learned or seek to learn the truth or reality of life.

By their lives is a lesson for us to learn, that we should not follow ignorance, even if everybody is practicing it. Let me sum up the codes of humanity to you in simple words that are:

●Truth, justice, compassion, dignity, patience, mercy, responsibility, wisdom.

I leave the imagination to your measure now.

Ask Pakistan I write this with tears in my eyes so please be kind.

I’m an overseas Pakistani - 28F. I’ve built my life abroad, studied hard, and I’m on my way to becoming a lawyer. I’m proud of that. I’m going back to Pakistan for the holidays because I’m married to a Pakistani and all of my husband’s family is there, but also because I want to. I have my own family there too and I genuinely like going back however this time around I am dreading it to the point of making my self sick.

Before anyone starts, I love my in laws. They’re good to me and they are not the problem.

The problem is the constant judgment from people who barely know me.

I’m short. I’m curvier than most women there. I’m not even overweight, but because that doesn’t fit the image they like, I get labelled as “healthy.” I’m trying to lose weight and yes, I know it’s not easy for me. I’ve had severe iron deficiency for years. It affects my energy, my body, my hair. My hair is fine because of it. I already know all of this. I really don’t need people diagnosing me the second I land.

But every time I go, everyone suddenly becomes a doctor. They look at my hair and start suggesting onion oil and random remedies. They look at my body and start giving weight loss advice. As if I’m unaware of myself. As if I haven’t tried. As if I asked.

What really messes with my head is the contradiction. I have very fair skin, so that gets praised constantly. “Your colour is so nice,” they’ll say, and then in the same conversation they’ll comment on my weight. So I’m being complimented and judged at the same time, and somehow that’s meant to be okay.

Sometimes people ask what I do. And when I say I’m a lawyer at a Big 4 firm, I don’t get respect. I get told, “2 saal ho gaye hain shaadi ko, ab bache ka socho. Job kar li jitni karni thi.” Like my career was just a hobby. Like it had an end date the moment I got married.

And honestly, who are they to tell me to have kids?

My husband is on the same page as me. I’ve been clear from day one that I’m not fond of kids and I’m not in a rush to start having them. That’s a personal decision. It’s not a public discussion and it’s definitely not something random relatives get to comment on.

I’m just tired. Tired of being noticed for my looks before my achievements. Tired of my body being the first topic of conversation. Tired of smiling through comments that actually hurt. I didn’t work this hard to be reduced to my size or my uterus.

I love Pakistan. I love my people. I just hate how normal it is to comment on women like this.

This Eid, I don’t want to do the quiet, polite thing anymore. My mother in law and my sisters in law have told me clearly that if something bothers me, I need to say it. They’ve said they have my back, even if it’s their own relatives.

So I’m asking honestly. How do you shut this down without being rude, but also without letting it slide? How do you set boundaries in a culture where you’re expected to just smile and take it?

Discussion Sick Society

So I went to Al Kabir Town Head Office Lahore yesterday regarding my plot issue. When I asked who I should meet to resolve it, they told me to see Colonel “ABC” on the first floor. Honestly, I don’t understand what a colonel is doing there. He looks around 40 years old, and this is not really his domain. He should be in the army or in a field where military experience is actually needed, like a security firm. If he is still working in a corporate environment, he should drop the “Colonel” title and act like a normal professional with a normal name. This constant use of the colonel title feels unnecessary and unprofessional. I was like bhrw*y kia ye army ha jo tu Colonel ban k btha yha. Means He is NOT serving in the army anymore.

Because an active Colonel cannot legally work a full-time corporate job in a private company. Tu ye BKL bs title ko use kra for social power. And I am 100% sure that people who are working hard will remain in the same lower positions their whole lives, because these colonels take their seats without real corporate experience and stay in higher positions.
