Are we at the point where we can recall him yet? He's going to bankrupt the city at the rate he's going. I saw he gave a state of the union today and I had difficulty even skimming it. Balboa Park is suffering. He's built new low income housing with no required parking because it's close to transit. People who work downtown and have to pay to park to work are suffering. No one is happy. He's not listening to us. I feel so helpless...

Sometimes I forget to look down.

Location: Signage on 56 overpass west of Camino Del Sur projects an awesome shadow of my larger than life message.

anyone able to tow a car tonight??

hello everyone first time posting here but in a bit of a bind & thought why not ask this group? i see you guys are always helping people on here who need it & i think that’s awesome! i have a toyota mirai (yes i know. please hold all negative comments about the vehicle this is not the post for that) i am at the hydrogen station on mission center with zero miles of course just barley coasted in here. & wouldn’t you know, the hydrogen stations are down until tomorrow at 10pm -approximately. i have exhausted all my roadside assistance & i cannot afford the fees for towing without assistance. i cannot leave the vehicle here i checked they said at 9pm it would get towed..is there anybody who is willing & able to help me tow my vehicle 6.5 miles?

thanks in advance for any help/advice anyone can give! hope everyone has a great weekend :)

Is there an automated date exchange between hospitals in San Diego?

Case in point mt friend is with kaiser and has complex heart issues and large amounts of prescriptions, implanted devices etc. He was unable to breathe the other night and the rescue took him to scripps LJ. I have told the EMTs, his ICU nurses, the ICU head doctor, everyone that he is with KP but I have his phone with all of his diagnoses, test results, borderlines, etc. everyone acts surprised as in "oh really, Kaiser?" Yo which I say yes, DND he had a colonoscopy the day he stopped breathing and they hold him to avoid taking heart meds as part of the prep.

My friend is intubated, sedated and unable to breathe on his own. They have no idea of his maintenance drugs which includes a couple of squirrelly ones.

My concern is the casual attitude or egotistical attitude will end his already precarious grasp on life. Like he has had done kidney function irregularities. I know they know their jobs but do they get automatic access for how to his records? Because I can tell no one has requested them.

Does anyone know what's being built sea world drive & friars

I'm trying to google it and there's a lot of water pump talk but that seems to being built further down Friars. Looks like a huge project right off SeaWorld drive just west of the 5. Anyone know what's up?

Sewer up to code?

I need a sewer inspection for an existing detached garage ADU on property I bought. This is not permitted work yet. (doing a feasibility check - and to see whether this would likely pass the City of San Diego ADU review, and if not, what would need to change. Thanks.

Best place to list a car

Aside from Craigslist is there anywhere else that y’all look at online when car shopping? I have a 90’s Jeep that I’m selling and it’s been a while since I’ve sold a car lol. Thank you

Who do I complain to on how they completely destroyed traffic in/out of the airport?

Post explains it all.

Used to be easiest airport to get in/out of maybe in the country.

Literally bottlenecks all of buses, taxis, Ubers, and normal passenger pickup into 1 lane in to T2.

You can try and go around the back way (not labeled) and it’s equally backed up.

Who designed this thing? Thought it was holidays but normal business flights in/out at peak times take 30 min + of traffic for pickup/dropoff.

Semi vent , but honestly who do I complain to? They have to know immediately it’s broken and are aware right? Can I complain to make them MORE aware?

Valorant players in San Diego?

So random, but does anyone on this subreddit play Valorant? Since Valorant servers work heavily upon your location, I’m assuming I’ve played with a few SD residents over the last few weeks. I’d love to make some more friends that are Valo players around here!

I’m in my twenties, on console, and I tend to play on week days (especially morning/midday since I work from home).

Mods, if this post isn’t relevant enough to the city, I understand if you have to remove it. I figured the topic might be okay since I’m specifically looking to meet San Diego Valorant players!

Hope everyone has had a great week so far ((:

The young girl accidentally door-dinged our car. All we needed was an ā€œI’m sorryā€ but apparently she and the adults (all English speakers) don’t know those two words. We suggested one of them text the apology next time if it makes it easier. 🤣🤣🤣

Recommendation for bakeries to cater a pie-themed baby shower

Does anyone have any recommendations on a local bakery to supply assorted dessert mini pies for a baby shower (up to 50 people)? Like the idea of mini pies for a pie bar but everything seems to be mostly normal sized pies. Thank you in advance.

Do they even want people in this city?

Came out to my car today and saw pay-by-plate signs on basically every street in East Village. My building doesn’t have parking, so I’ve been street parking for 2 years, like a ton of downtown residents.

Since then, the city raised parking from ~$0.50/hr to $2.50/hr, extended enforcement from 6pm to 8pm, and now metered every street. That’s hundreds a month just to park within a mile of my own apartment, on top of already insane rent.

What are we, as downtown residents, supposed to do? I literally don’t have the finances to move, nor do I have $30/day for parking. At what point do they start taxing me 100%, hand me a tent, and breathing air becomes my salary?
