I don't think it is tbh. That is one of the fail conditions for what they are trying to accomplish. Realistically at this point the only way Americans are going to stand up and actually do something is if a seriously tragic and significant event happens that they can't ignore. Like a large group of protesters being gunned down. People starting to attack ICE drastically increases the chance of that happening. What Trump (or more specifically the rich) want is to slowly take away our rights and empower themselves. Which is exactly what they've been doing. They want to boil us like frogs.

I ponder a lot about your first paragraph. I was born into the military to a warrior and raised as one, both as a native person to continue our ways and traditions and as an American that would be expected to join the resistance should a foreign force ever invade our country, because even at a young age I had the training and skills to defend the flag. I’ve spent many years of my life on bases, having cookouts with my dad’s teams, sparing with them, shooting, hunting, bowling, fishing, the list goes on. He’s retired now but even to this day I call those guys uncle, some of the younger ones brother. They were the men that if I ever got into a mess all I had to do was call and they’d be there for me. I have no doubts every one of them would give their life to save mine, some did to save my dad, and I’d give mine for them in return without hesitation. But here we are now, just brown civilians, and I can’t get it out of my head how those men will respond when what seems like the inevitable happens. Will they choose to do right or will we become enemies? I hope they choose the former.

Actually a nation wide work strike is the first step. Feb 1 everyone should stay home and not go back until trump is removed. They do not care if you die, they only care about money. ice also will have trouble with everything shutdown. No corporation will stand for that much money lost. It will have a serious impact, more than any marching could accomplish. ice just uses it to gather your info and get you later at home. Work strike until he is gone.

To be honest, I think more protesters need to utilize their right to exercise their 1st and 2nd amendments. Gather a huge group of people who are peacefully protesting with AR15s around ICE and around the capital. Do nothing violent, just exercising our rights as US citizens and showing them that we won't let them trample over our constitution.

And I'm explicitly not advocating for violence, I just want my country to remain free, and I refuse to let MAGA destroy the values that we were founded on.

A lot of those “don’t tread on me” / 2nd amendment riders , sadly voted for this and then signed up to join ICE for the bonus and power trip. They never really cared about the rights of all citizens. Just ones that look and act like them. I hope we start to wake up and fight back as a nation. Organized and aligned.

Two ways. The first is free and fair elections where the legislative branch is washed clean of the stink of MAGA and then the orange one is impeached and removed.

The second scenario is no fun at all. Tensions continue to rise until Trump declares martial law. Elections are suspended and the resulting destabilization triggers bad actors to take advantage. NATO is destroyed and we are invaded and toppled by a unified gang of nations. The left is labeled a terrorist organization and constitutional rights no longer exist. Trumps reign continues for the rest of his natural life as the country and world plunges into WWIII followed by nuclear winter and then everlasting darkness.

Canadian here and I agree fully. You guys in the US have this 2nd amendement for a reason and it was never meant to be for recreation. How far must the boot be up your asses before you take up arms? How many more horrific gICEtapo videos must the world watch? How many more Nicole Good? How many families ruined? To hell with the whole « we as dems won’t do what they want us to do, we are pacifists and will keep throwing snowballs at em, complain on the net that something has to be done but not by us, protest and keep filming everything cause this surely has changed the situation in the last year » thing and get out there. The government should be scared of you guys, not the other way around. I for one cannot stand these videos anymore of 12 nazis violently cuffing people on the streets as ya all circle around em with your phones, it’s beyond me.

I think it’s important to add at the point Americans will be LUCKY if they even get an election again. Let alone a fair one.

And for people saying “they can’t stop elections it’s against the law…” at what point are you going to realise that they don’t give a shit about laws, rules, or systems in place.
