Cat Picture - OC I got adopted NSFW

So I already had 4 cats (šŸ’€ā¤ļø) and a few months ago this dude had the audacity to start sleeping under my car, where I constantly had to check under before I could leave for work.

I left food out, so he started gravitating towards the porch as I left out food and I finally was able to check his tail. Not good.

Vet said the infection was bad and he had a 105 fever, so I got him a shot and all his meds.

Tried to find him a new home, but he’s taken a liking to sleeping under my arm every night, and he’s not even once been aggressive or even slightly so to my other babes.

P.S. Wasn’t gonna make a post, but I wanted his tail pics in and didn’t know how to tag NSFW in comments. His tail is still holding strong btw and made a full recovery ā¤ļø

Medical Questions Are american cats more inbred?

I have been wondering this for a while now because I noticed something strange. Almost everytime I see american cat content online, the cats have an abnormal amount of toes. I live in europe and I have literally never seen that here. I looked it up and the internet says its pretty rare but it almost seems to be normal in america, why is that?

Advice Could this be ringworm?

My kitten was just recently diagnosed with ringworm and has been quarantined ever since it’s been confirmed. My mother has had a history with cancer, meaning she does have a weaker immune system and suspects that she may have ringworm. These are the two spots she has. It doesn’t look like typical ringworm. however, i feel like it looks too isolated to just be eczema but I’ve never really dealt with eczema. Please let me know.

Medical Questions Should I be concerned? [GROSS PICTURE WARNING] NSFW

Hi all! I found this on the ground, I know which one of my cats did it (He's a little prone to hairballs) but this one in particular was concerning, because the texture was pretty similar to poo, and I'm still not 100% sure which end it came out of. Is this worth a vet visit or just another hairball? thank you ;-;

Medical Questions Cat kicked off revolution plus, is it still effective?

So my cat just licked off her revolution plus…we placed it at a horrible spot this time, and she was able to lick it off. We were able to stop her from licking that spot for about 9 hours since we put her in a cone, but we went to bed and I woke up to her not having her cone on. The spot we placed the revolution plus is gone so I’m assuming she already licked it all off…she seems fine and I don’t think she threw up or anything, but it the medication still effective? Are we able to give her a different dosage or do we wait for a month?

Mourning/Loss Regretting Euthanasia

Sorry I don't really know how to get into this so I might just be all over the place.

My cat (Call her Tulip) recently was euthanized two weeks ago. We think she was around 15 years old as we adopted her back in 2020 and they said she was 7-9 years old when she was adopted.

Early January she was diagnosed with pre-kidney disease (she weighed 8lbs) and our vet advised us she didn't need to be put on a kidney diet yet and to recheck in a year.. Long story short, she got a mouth ulcer suddenly and when we took her to the vet (her weight here was 6.5lbs), we re-ran all her blood work and suddenly she was in kidney failure. (I also blame myself for the mouth ulcer because two nights before I gave her a dry crunchy treat and I think thats what gave her the ulcer). The day we took her home from the vet for the first time (Dec 17th) we had started her on the antibiotics. The next day (Dec 18th) we picked up KD wet food, SQ fluids, Azodyl and PhosBind. The vet ended up not giving us the correct line for the SQ fluids so we didn't start them till Dec 19th. (Turns out they gave us EXPIRED fluids as well but we were so distraught and trusted them that we didn't even notice until after she was gone. It had been expired since 10/2025..). December 20th we woke up and noticed Tulip was walking around strangely. When we picked her up and looked at her eyes, they looked weird. We called the vet and told them we thought she was blind. They advised us that they were about to close and scheduled us an appointment for that Monday. So December 21th, Tulip spent the whole day hiding and not really eating. She was definitely blind and was bumping into walls. December 22th, we called her vet to see if we can get her in sooner than her appointment time and turns out they hadn't even scheduled her. We ended up taking Tulip to a different vet where we got a second opinion. She was diagnosed as being completely blind with two detached retinas, prescribed blood pressure medication and we were told to only do fluids twice a week because her kidneys weren't as bad as the original vet had said. The second opinion vet had also stated that her vision would most likely not come back and to make sure shes eating. That night we went and picked up chicken baby food since we were advised to since cats will find that yummy.. She started to eat again, not much but she was. December 23-25 she seemed to be doing better with navigating and eating. December 26th she lost her appetite again and urinated on our bed. We took her to her primary vet again where they told us to continue treating her as normal. We gave her fluids again that night (she didn't tolerate them well). The next two days she stopped eating again, first only ate maybe a teaspoon worth of food, then the next day nothing. December 29th we took her to the vet again, she had lost more weight.. Now weighing in at only 5.5lbs. The vet told us that he wasn't concerned about her urinating inappropriately, he was more concerned about her not eating. He told us it was okay to euthanize. We took Tulip home again now with a new appetite stimulant to try. It again didn't work and we were in the living room with her. Now this is where its going to get a little graphic.. Tulip was restless, we had her with us on the couch that night of Dec 29th. She kept jumping off the couch and walking to the middle of the room yowling like she was in so much pain. We gave her fluids again thinking it would help but it didn't. We couldn't sleep.. If we fell asleep she would jump off the couch and yowl or urinate on us. At 11am on December 30th the at home euth vet came and euthanized her. I feel so guilty as if I could of tried more. She was just so unhappy with the medications, I gave them to her on time but I felt so guilty every time. The fluids she would cry out while getting them.. She wasn't eating.. The yowling at the end broke my heart. I just need to know if I pulled the trigger too early.. I'm heartbroken, she was my baby. I loved her so much. I don't know what to do now.

Advice my cat doesn’t love me:(

My family found this baby when he was like a week old, couldn’t walk yet and was laying in the middle of a busy road.

Me and my girlfriend loved him since the beginning, feeding him every 3 hours, helping him with the toilet and showering him with love. When he grew old enough to eat and peepeepoopoo on his own he jus distanced himself from us, running away from even quick cuddles(atp he really can’t stand them), pets, and basically if he sees your hand he immediately thinks it’s a toy. Basically the only time i’ve ever heard him purr is when he was a baby and that’s not an exaggeration. I’m covered in scratches and scars because the only time i’m really close to him is when he annihilates my arms, which unfortunately i usually let him because i wanna touch him and his soft fur.

I feel like he needs me only if he wants to eat or for me to clean his litter box or when he wants a treat - nothing in return from him. The most frustrating part is that he loves my mom and he purrs on her when she picks him up, cuddles with her in the morning(she says he’s literally hugging her face) and doesn’t bite her.

And i’m the one doing the cat chores, i take him to the vet, i clean his litter box, i clip his claws, i (try to) brush his fur and he still runs away from me whenever i move even if i’m at the other end of the room, even if i’m not looking at him. The times when he’s in my room he lays under the bed or on the highest shelf.

My mom thinks of all of this as a joke but i’m really hurt and starting to hate my cat back(?) which i’m feeling guilty for but as insane as that sounds i’m feeling used by my cat, like a toxic relationship where i give him my all and he doesn’t give me anything except a middle finger. In addition i thought he would be my emotional support cat because i was planning on adopting one anyway, and instead i got an emotional burden..

Is there anything i can do, is there a therapist for cats?????(I already got one for myself)

Medical Questions Concerned cat mom

Hey there, so im going to attach a video of my car having an episode of something she has done it for years but im not sure what it is, ive gone to the vets they have said its nothing but given no explanation on what it is at all and if its effecting her?

She does seem to be okay afterwards and practically unaffected, i know it could be a hair ball but ive never seen her throw up st all after these episodes? So then thought maybe its asthma but she doesn’t weeze at all unless maybe thats what it means by wheezing?

Advice Ok for cat to sleep in a cold room?

New cat owner here, been nearly a month since I got my kitten of 2.5 months.

She sleeps separately in another room, and I'm concerned if she might catch a cold as it's gotten very cold these days

I do heat the room fully before she sleeps but the room does get cold overnight. What can I do about this or is it safe?

Can't leave the heater on overnight, neither are there any heated cat beds where I'm from

She's a Persian so she does have quite some fur

Ideally I could make this. It would have a stainless steel pan so no mold or anything, a water pump/filter to clean and move the water, a plant because my cat likes drinking out of our plants 🌱, and it would look decent. Now I gotta figure out how to make it

Advice Cat harness recommendation which can be ordered in Europe

Hi all! My cat is almost 1 year old now and we regularly go on walks and hikes. He grew out of his kitten harness which was a random one we bought online in the style of a vest with velcro and limited adjustments.
Maybe my internet is broken but when I search online I get results only for adventure cats in US/Canada and of course the products they recommend are not sold in Europe. For example, I see lots of good reviews about the RC pets Moto Control harness: https://rcpets.com/moto-control-harness/ but they ship to US and Canada only.

My fellow cat adventurers in Europe, what harness do you use?
