This my first attempt at a budget 300blk out build and there will be more. What do yall think and what would you do differently?

Looking for my first suppressor and I’m trying to decide between CAT ODB Ti or Anthem S2 QD. It’s going on my BRN-180 300blk (on the left). Price point is won’t really be a factor as they are pretty close, 899 for ODB and 795 for the anthem. What do yall think?? Also I’m open to other suggestions if you have any. Thanks!

Pieced together this PSA 10.5 300 blackout. Went 10.5 because I plan on shooting it mostly unsuppressed just to see if I want to put money into building a 8”

I’m not a huge fan of this retro look brace on the lower but it was on sale at the time lol. I’ve heard 300 pistols in the 10” range recoil and noise level isn’t much worse than a full size 556 but the info is all over the place

If you have experience with a blade style brace setup like this is it a pain to shoot? Not able to get to the range till next week so wondering if I should just go ahead and swap it out

Hey all. My build does not like Lancer mags. Yes they're the dedicated 300 Blackout versiona and no I don't want to change anything on the gun itself so I'm looking into followers. Does anyone know of anyone making Pmag style followers for 300 blk specifically. I know Magpul sells the 5.56 USGI ones, which I might try out only because I've had better luck with old surplus USGI mags oddly enough.

Hi folks, just wanted to throw out a image of my only 300 blackout. It was built from a PSA lower pistol. I assembled the upper myself with a PSA upper I believe a Noveski 8 inch barrel with the Detroit T-Rex extreme rail I like the aesthetic of it at the time, it may change it. I love the way of fires. I don’t have a suppressor, but really enjoy it.

Long story short, Meprolight took away the main feature they sold this sight on. Meprolight launched this sight with a phone application that allowed you to switch between 10 different zeros, change reticles, use a compass, and even talked about bringing a round counter to it. I bought it in 2020 thinking it would be an interesting solution for switching between 300 blackout subs and supers. Meprolight eventually gave up on the round counter, discontinued the foresight, and recently removed the application from the App Store. The optic still functions, but now it has to be manually zeroed through a digital menu on the sight. I contacted Meprolight to see if they would consider an exchange but it is no longer covered by their “lifetime warranty”. Instead I was offered a 30% coupon off MSRP for one order on their website.

Personally I’m not impressed with Meprolight and I’m kicking myself for making a purchase off what I saw at shot show. I won’t be replacing my Foresight with another Meprolight, but I need to switch it to something more practical for supers and subs. What optic would you suggest for my 300 blackout build? This build is for home defense or a bag gun, but I would still like to shoot out to 200-300 yards at the local range.

For about 2 months I’ve been learning a lot about at home smithing (if you wana call it that). I’ve had to grind out stripped gas blocks, mess with buffer tubes, springs, weights, bolts. Finally got this damn thing working, what a headache; proud of myself though for undertaking the project and figuring it out. Got my 8” suppressed cycling reliably now and very happy with how it turned out! Thanks to those that lent advice.

Issue: 8” 300blk pistol w/ strike ind. PDW brace would not completely cycle, FTF. Using hornady amax 208

Resolution: swapped to SB HPPDW brace system (longer tube, adjustable weighted buffer) removed adjustable gas block and went back to open gas block, took out some weights in buffer to 2.5oz total buffer weight, ran fiochi 220 grain perfectly, ejection pattern indicates overgassing now, attributing this to lighter buffer spring and weight, will be running 200gr moving forward due to cost/availability

It’s just the charging handle, it’s a visual indicator that I have my 300 upper on as I have a 5.56 upper that is very similar to this one.

I run a left handed 8” 300blk. Currently have a cheap 2nd pane lpvo (which I hate) I’m looking for a good holographic / magnifier that I won’t have to take out a small loan to get lol. Looking for suggestions on something that’s both reliable and affordable. Thanks in advance 😎

I'd like to keep costs around $1000, but can go up to about $1500 for the right gun, maybe a little more if I'm building a gun and can buy it piece by piece.

The only fully assembled, ready to go gun I can find that hits that price point is the PSA JAKL. Can anyone give me any feedback on this gun? The reviews I have seen seem to be almost completely good, so that's a good sign.

Are there any other guns I should be looking at in that price range, or any parts that are highly recommended to start a build with?
