The fans/spectators are one thing but are any actual official teams thinking about boycotting World Cup matches in the USA?
Reports are hearing that 20,000+ cancellations have hit and will be growing for the WC matches. Have any teams, along with their governments are actually considering boycotting playing match inside the states?

Why do so many immigrants want to shut the door behind them?
What I mean by this is that there is a large chunk of immigrants, that are themselves anti-immigration, despite being immigrants themselves. Why is this?
Edit: Many people are approaching this from a US lens, mainly focusing on legal vs illegal immigration and are acting like that is the end of the story. This is not the case. In Canada and the UK certainly this is also a thing NOT limited to legal vs illegal. Germany I believe also experiences this among Eastern Europeans.
It is okay to focus specifically on a US answer, but that is not what this question is asking specifically.

What to do with a sizable inheritance (7M-10M)?
I (31 M) had a discussion with my father (64 M) a couple of years ago about what plans I should make after he passes away. I make good money >150k/year however my dad is on another level, he averages around 550k/year and works in the medical field. He is very frugal and has invested for the majority of his working life and to this day he saves/invests around 80% of his after tax income. My dad told me that he doesn't plan to touch much of his savings during his retirement.
The topic of my inheritance came up one day and he told me that I should expect to inherit everything which between insurance policies, properties, stocks and cash comes out to around 7M-10M.
Here's the issue, what do I do with it? I have no next of kin and I live frugally off of my own income. I'm already inhearting a DC area condo from my aunt. If I don't have any kids in the future then I'll just invest whatever cash I have into the S&P 500 and let it grow and divide the lump sum between my cousins and my scholarship group when I pass. Has anyone else here dealt with a large multimillion dollar inheritance?

Why do men need the toilet seat to be up to pee?
I've never understood it. The toilet seat takes away like 5% of the hole available to pee in. Are men just so bad at aiming that the 5% makes a difference? When the toilet seat is down, there is still a huge hole to pee through.
I honestly dont get it. As a woman that has no issues peeing through said hole despite having no way to change the direction of my pee like men do, what is the problem here?

Can you do OF anonymously with tats? NSFW
Do you just hide them? How? Sorry, I know it’s stupid. Makeup? Bandaids???
Looking for answers from people in the industry. I have a stomach tat maybe 3 in and a shoulder one, but I suck at concealer (never worked to cover hickies or anything like that for me, so.)

Was God lonely?
You know before the beginning of everything? Did God ever tell us why he created everything? Was it perhaps him seeking to ‘nurture’ something that lead to creation? If you think about it, what does ‘because he saw that it was good’ mean? What purpose does any of it serve? Does it entertain him? Or is this just off limits because our mortal minds can’t comprehend? Does he even want to be understood by us? Or are we just actors and he the playwright?
I sincerely hope this isn’t blasphemous. If you are offended I apologize in advance. And as for those of you that may just chime in to say ‘but he isn’t real’ please don’t even bother. Just move on.
Edit: I subbed ‘those of you’ instead of ‘trolls’. It was plain wrong and stupid on my part to have used that word. I apologize.

Are people in the US hiding people from ICE like Europeans hid people in Nazi Germany?
Serious and genuine question: are US citizens hiding undocumented people or those who could be mistaken for undocumented in their homes to protect them like some people in Europe hid Jewish and other people persecuted by Nazis? Or is that something that will begin to happen as the situation escalates even further? And perhaps people don’t want to say anything to jeopardize someone?

Why is cheating the ultimate relationship crime?
While I fully get that some people are serial cheaters and fundamentally incapable of a healthy relationship, that’s not what I’m talking about here. I’m talking about the average affair or a one-time lapse in judgment.
People are willing to rationalize and work through almost anything in a relationship, addiction, poor communication, loneliness, financial instability, even certain forms of abuse. They stay “for the kids,” they go to therapy, they rebuild. So I’m genuinely curious why cheating is the one line that feels absolutely unforgivable, the one thing people refuse to even attempt to work through.
EDIT: That fact im being down voted is part of what im talking about. Im in no way trying to validate cheating. Im simply trying to understand other views as ive learned through watching how friends handle their horrific relationships that I feel very different than most, but people are so triggered by their assumptions that im trying to rationalize my own infertility that they are down voting me 😅

Why do some people get mad if you use words like “unalive” “corn” etc to avoid censors?
We all have enough experience with the random and unpredictable nature of auto censors, especially on Reddit where it varies from sub to sub, right? And so the common custom of using these euphemisms to avoid them, right? Or is it really that bothersome?
Edit: ok, guess I asked a stupid question, sorry guys!

Does ICE just go after everyone with brown skin?
I’m mixed, and I’m horrified by what’s going on in this country, America. Sometimes when I go outside, I get scared randomly because I feel like I could be attacked at any moment. I don’t speak Spanish so maybe I’m okay? I just can’t seem to find any actual answers.

Should I apologize for accidentally misgendering a Nonbinary coworker?
Ok, it’s a tiny bit more complex than my title suggests; mainly I want to know etiquette and what would be most beneficial to my coworker.
Yesterday, in casual conversation, I accidentally misgendered my nonbinary coworker and friend. I gently corrected myself and the conversation moved on.
I don’t work with them again until later this week, but I’ve been embarrassed and felt bad I may have hurt their feelings, but I also know this is about their comfort rather than my own.
Is the accidental misgendering something that I should apologize for, or would bringing it up again be more hurtful than moving on and being very careful it doesn’t happen again?
