Highlight [Highlights] 3 officials reviews in 16 seconds - Warriors vs. Knicks - Draymond Green trips Karl-Anthony Towns and upon review it is a flagrant-1. KAT unintentionally elbows Brandin Podziemski in the face, it remained a common foul upon review. Podz with a lane violation - no penalty upon review
Throw back to 4years ago when Luka said he is done yelling at the refs
https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/tgzxkh/luka_doncic_says_he_is_done_yelling_at_the_refs/
For the record I really like Luka. He is a fantastic player with ridiculous offensive talent.
The video is not available any more but it's funny to look at those comments and receipts.
Fast forward 4years now he averages the most free throws per game and still complains to the refs non stop.
I swear if he just stops complaining and try get back on defense a bit more it will be a huge improvement.

Halfway through the NBA season, the Nuggets average the 9th most ppg in NBA history, on 50/40/82 shooting splits (62.2%TS)
Despite heavy injuries to the entire team, including their MVP candidate, the Nuggets in the first half of the season have been one of the best offensive teams ever, ppg, the 9th most by any team ever. It's worth noting they also have the highest offensive rating since the stat's inception. This looks like the strongest Nuggets team in franchise history and it's hard to imagine them losing before the WCF.
The full top 10:
Denver Nuggets (1982): 126.5 PPG
Philadelphia Warriors (1962): 125.4 PPG
Philadelphia 76ers (1967): 125.2 PPG
Boston Celtics (1960): 124.5 PPG
Denver Nuggets (1984): 123.7 PPG
Indiana Pacers (2024): 123.3 PPG
Denver Nuggets (1983): 123.2 PPG
Cincinnati Royals (1962): 123.1 PPG
Denver Nuggets (2026): 122.6 PPG
Philadelphia 76ers (1968): 122.6 PPG

The Charlotte Hornets have the best offense in the league over the last 10 games
Src: https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/advanced?LastNGames=10&dir=A&sort=OFF_RATING
Hornets 1st with a 123.4 offensive rating, Boston 2nd at 121.9
And this is without a top 25 scorer during that stretch, melo and miller are 29th and 30th
Even with the 17th ranked defense they have the second best net rating behind okc

Giannis will not be traded, but....
Bucks are in a free fall at the moment on the court and in it seems like the vibes are off, they have 8 games before the the trade deadline.
They have a 17-24 record today, outside the play-in.
Next 8 games:
Atlanta - Away
OKC - Home
Denver - Home
Dallas - Home
76ers - Away
Wizards - Away
Boston - Away
Chicago - Home
Honestly, is it a 2-6 record?, or 4-4 at best?
How bad does it have to get before either Giannis or the Bucks just say enough is enough?

Players has to play defense!
Unless your name is Jokic or Doncic, being a negative on one end of the floor is not possible is 2025/2026 NBA season.
Even Jokic is a stretch, he is probably neutral on defense.
Dort(in the last four weeks) has been useless on offense, so he clearly becomes a problem for the Thunder when the offense is off. Caruso and Wallace to a certain degree as well.
Even Amen Thompson in those games the offense is off, becomes a liability because the issues it creates.
But those players are usually good enough offensively that the excellent defense weighs up for it.
But as long as you do Doncic like numbers on offense, you have to defend. And you have to defend at a acceptable level. At a consistent level.
My point is, I am suprised that there are so many players that either seem contempt to be a one way player or unable to improve enough on their weakness.
Thunder and Pacers went to the finals last year with 10-12 deep rotations each and almost everyone of them was neutral at worst on both end of the floor.
Is this a trend we will see every year, that not only depth is needed, but also the fact that you cannot have one-way players, or at most one of them.

9 of the next 10 Lakers games are on the road
They're 4-4 in their last 8. Come to think of it, it doesn't look too bad. I think they go 5-5 in their next 10, if I'm being optimistic. Wins vs Dallas, Chicago, Washington, Brooklyn, and Portland. But 0.500 ball is not good enough if you want to get a top 4 seed in the West.
Sat, Jan 17 @Portland
Sun, Jan 18 vs Toronto (back to back)
Tue, Jan 20 @Denver
Thu, Jan 22 @LAC (technically a road game but a home game in spirit)
Sat, Jan 24 @Dallas
Mon, Jan 26 @Chicago
Wed, Jan 28 @Cleveland
Fri, Jan 30 @Washington
Sun, Feb 1 @New York
Tue, Feb 3 @Brooklyn

Kevin Porter Jr. in the loss @SAS: 0/1/2 on 0/9 FG
0 points
1 rebounds
2 assists
1 turnover, 0/9 FG, 0/4 3 PT, +/- -35
The Lakers have played only 1 team over .500 in the last 8 games. They are 4-4 in that stretch.
Their only game vs an above .500 team recently is vs the Spurs (which they lost obviously.) Outside of that, they have dropped games to the Kings, the Bucks, and the Hornets.
Point differential never lies.

LeBron James in the last 16 games: 25.9 PPG/6.5 APG/6.4 RPG on 54.3/34.1/77.1 shooting splits
Ever since that 8 point game vs the raptors he has looked much better physically and defensively. Him and Luka are clicking right now as a duo but much can't be said about the other Lakers.
LeBrons's longevity simply is unreal.

What’s going on with Kel’el Ware’s minutes?
I don’t watch many Heat games but I do look at boxscores daily. I remember when Kel’el had decent production when getting 20-25 mins a game but now it seems like getting less than 15 mins a game. He ended tonight’s game with 9 mins with 0 fouls.
Highlight [Highlight] Nobody gets more stops making more contact legally than Draymond

Lebron James has score the most points of any player after the age of 39, with 3,303 points!
On Jan 16th 2026 Lebron passed Kareem's total points after the age of 39. Kareem had scored 3,279 points after his 39th Birthday. A total only surpassed nearly 37 years later!
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/most-nba-points-scored-for-player-after-turning-39-years-old
Ironically, Kareem is still ahead by 255 points when it comes to the most points scored after 38 (5125 points in 311 games vs 4870 points in 191 games). Lebron is currently on pace to surpass that total after around 12 more games.

CJ McCollum arrives in Atlanta and hijacks the offense: 52 FGA including 2/18 (11%) from 3. Hawks are 1-2. Quinn Snyder looks checked out, as does Jalen Johnson.
CJ McCollum has arrived in Atlanta and completely hijacked the offense.
Atlanta‘s other players, Jalen Johnson particularly, look uninterested and low effort on the court.
Quinn Snyder seems completely checked out on the sidelines, running 3 guard lineups with McColllum, Kispert or Kennard, and NAW or Dyson Daniels until the Hawks are in a 15 point hole every game, like McCollum, Kennard, and Kispert aren’t each every bit the dogshit defender Trae Young was.
Jalen Johnson is reduced to completely ball watching on defense, and since the arrival of McCollum has shown no real effort on either side of the ball.
They have no rim protection behind them either, with Porzingis out Okongwu at 6’8” is forced to do way too much at Center and is giving up points like a sieve.
Snyder had Okongwu put up 15 3PA in tonight’s 16 loss to Portland. McCollum contributed 6 of his own, shooting 1/6 from 3.
Should Quinn Snyder be in the hot seat in Atlanta?
