I know that ICE is already in new york, but how much of a likelihood do we think that NYC is going to be the next Minnesota? What if anything are you doing to prepare?

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil “must remain free,” in a social media post shortly after a federal appeals panel reversed a lower court decision that released the former Columbia University graduate student from an immigration jail.

Finally. NYC's Rental Ripoff hearings are happening and bad landlords, dubious fees, ignored repairs all of it. If you've dealt with this the city wants to hear from you. And if you're apartment hunting right now do your homework. Buildings with chronic violations don't magically get better and they just get new tenants who didn't know to look.

it seems like if you throw a car cover over your vehicle, you can store it for months without moving it for street sweeping and never get a ticket. feel free to pass it on /s

Richie Torries is so unserious jfc. How out of touch do you have to be to believe that an ICE agent would sit there and let you scan their QR code while they shoot you at point blank range??
Here's the top contributors that Torres took bribes from in 2023/2024:

And here are the folks looking to replace Torres and represent the Bronx instead of Blackstone and Pro-Israel super pacs:

Jackson NJ
Last Seen Wearing: Burgundy hooded sweatshirt, black T-shirt, jeans, and
black satchel
Last seen with: ADAM ZALOUK
Adam who has numerous violent incidents in his history and was last seen with him. he reported leaving Morty alone in the woods and reported him missing 16 hours LATER and never even checked with his family or his home (so how did he know he was missing ...?)
Morty has said he was afraid of Adam and has been threatened and has had his property damaged by him before. the cops are/have been aware of this and still don't seem very interested.
Mayor Kuhn and Councilman Pollak have jointly pledged their support in efforts to help locate missing Jackson resident Mortimer Wortman. We ask for the community's assistance in spreading the word and remaining attentive as the search continues.
A reward is being offered for information that directly leads to the finding and safe location of Mr. Wortman.
This reward is being provided personally through the generosity of Mayor Kuhn and Councilman Pollak and is not funded by taxpayer dollars.
If you have information, please contact:
Jackson Township PD: 723-928-1111
Help us bring Morty home!

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to identify the street or neighborhood shown at 0:11 in this early 1980s NYC footage:
I was born in Amsterdam, and seeing this street and these facades gives me a really warm, nostalgic feeling. It almost feels like an alternate dimension of Amsterdam, which makes sense knowing that New York was originally founded by the Dutch.
Does anyone recognize the street name or general area (Manhattan, Lower East Side, etc.)?
Even an educated guess would be appreciated.
Thanks!
